South Africa became the first African hosts of the World cup in 2010 and next up we will be in Brazil in 2014. Many people were complaining about the noise of the Vuvuzela this year but it was one of the most sold items in South Africa this year. Others are definitely alcohol and flowers. Promotional merchandise of countries participating in the tournament was also not far behind. Lot of money were made by flower business by having send flowers online service which were used by lots of people to send gifts and flowers back home after their country won the match.

At the start of the tournament people wanted vuvuzela’s to be banned because all they could hear inside the stadium was vuvuzela, even the players were complaining but vuvuzela’s didnt get banned, they brought vuvuzela’s that made less noise than the previous and the tournament carried on in South African manner. After that there was no complaints and the tournament carried on. Almost every single African fans had vuvuzela in their hand, singing and dancing. The atmosphere was fantastic and every one was singing and dancing.

When there is football, there is alcohol. Especially in South Africa where the weather is still warm for us British people even in their winter. It’s just that we have a over hyped National Football team who just cannot perform. Alcohol were another top sellers in South Africa I think this might have just topped the chart.

There were some people who even got married at the World Cup. This is a fantastic time to propose to someone you love I feel. You will be surrounded in great atmosphere and a lot of people would be happy. I met a few couples in the plane while travelling to South Africa, who ended up getting married there and I went to their ceremony. I did not find nice wedding flowers so I bought and changed birthday flowers into wedding bouquet and gift them that. There were many people from around the World who joined in, even though no one knew each other.

So Flowers, Alcohol and Vuvuzela are definitely up there in top sellers on the World cup.

In the UK summer is not best known that is why they are always going on holiday to find sunnier and a milder weather. As soon as summer arrives we are all looking to do outdoor activities. Some enjoy going for a swim in the local swimming pools or the beach. Some like to have bbq parties to enjoy the mild and sunny weather with their friends and family.
