Should Grey Hair Be Dyed?

The male grooming market has change so much in the last 12 years. Who’d have thought, for example, that concealers for men, fake tans and a neatly waxed trunklines would become commonplace? However after all these changes there are still some male grooming techniques which are frowned upon. No, not ballshaving (that’s already a common phenomenon) but hair dying. Yes, this relatively simple act is still not thought highly in the male grooming world, its considered naff, vain or just sad.

However we are seeing changes. The male hair dye industry has grown massively and there are now a huge range of products available. One of the leading men ranges is Just For Men as well its beard dye range however there are many others competing for this spot. These brands are now up there with other huge cosmetic brands such as DermalogicaMurad and John Varvatos.

But it’s not just older men trying to disguise the ageing process who are snapping up these products. According to a recent Trevor Sorbie survey more young men are reaching for hair dyes to cover up the first signs of grey than ever before. Why? The world is even more competitive and it seems we think this is going to help. The proof of this is when a bunch of 20-34 years old’s were asked if they would dye their grey hair a third said yes.

So dyes it seems, are the latest make grooming must-have. I would recommend when you have got enough grey hairs to start to feel uncomfortable or people start noticing them is when you should decide to dye or not. Oh and of course wear the plastic gloves provided. Trust me a pair of black palms is not a good look as I know from biter experience.
