Planting Trees For An Environmentally Friendly World|Save The Earth By Planting Trees
Because of cutting down trees, we lose up to six billion trees on an annual basis. This has to do with the demand for items that are created from trees. For example, paper is utilized both in the home and workplace and lumber is used in the building of houses. It is possible to act to save our forests even though we should accept that a lot of the items made from trees are necessary. {It has to be said, to save a few trees, there are lovely electric woodstoves on the market so instead of putting in wood burning units we can install energy efficient electric stoves.}
Trees are celebrated on Arbor Day and the idea is that we must plant trees at that time but this is not actually taking on the issue. In reality, trees are not being planted by the majority of the population. It would help, naturally, if everyone did.
Are you aware that there are more or less 7 billion people on Earth? The actual numbers obviously fluctuate and so this is a calculated approximation. The number of trees worldwide would be restored if every person planted a tree on Arbor Day. The probability of this happening is remote.
Thus, the suggestion is for those of you who care about our planet and want oxygen so you can live, plant a tree. I am not confining this to planting trees on just one day of the year. How about each week or at least every month? It is just a fact that many individuals will not give any thought to conservation or planting trees, so we need to make up for this ourselves.
Each year on Arbor Day, the number of trees planted is between 8 and 15 million. Thus on an annual basis, we have a shortage of about 5 billion trees. Regrettably, the situation is not getting any better.
A complete answer is called for that still encourages men and women to plant trees but I would like to suggest the following. What could actually take care of this problem is if every wood business or tree farmer, by law, had to plant two saplings for each tree they chop down, so our tree issue wouldn’t be an issue any longer.
We will have to continue to deal with this issue ourselves until there is the political willpower to make these changes. Keeping those tree numbers up isn’t going to really take a good deal of effort. For one, if merely 10% of the people on Earth planted a tree monthly, it would cover the amount of trees that are chopped down every year. Approximately 7 billion new trees would be achieved by doing this. In effect, this gives us a surplus of one billion trees and will go a long way to restoring the levels that are actually required. We all need to be more considerate about our actions impacting the environment and take steps.
And so for anyone who desires to make a positive difference to our world, go plant a tree. Things will change if 10% of people worldwide resolve to do this. Only you can decide if you want to step up and help.
