I have used the information obtained from this book many times over the years in the classroom and in planning staff development sessions. The book is easy to follow with many real-life examples of the direction a dialogue might take. Talk moves are practical, carefully explained ways to engage students in their learning. Even the order in which the talk moves should be introduced is discussed in detail.
Our formerly low-performing district has made incredible gains using many of the principles described in this book. This is a "must read" for any educator. |
