However, one of the newest technologies to hit the market is one that can be used to calm us down, relax us and even heal.

Learning about Bastille Day trivia is an important part of getting a better understanding of international history and culture, as this is one of the most important days in history of the Nation of France. There are many facts about Bastille Day which the average person might be unaware of, but we’ll try and highlight some of the most prominent points which might be found in Bastille day quiz questions.
First off, do you even know on which day Bastille day is celebrated? It takes place on the 14 of July, and is the national holiday of that country, similar to July 4th in America. The day was chosen because it was on July 14th in 1789 on which the Bastille was stormed during the French Revolution. The holiday is a commemoration of the Fete de la Federation which was held one year after that famous attack.
An interesting bit of Bastille Day trivia is that during that day, the President of France has the authority to issue pardons to criminals. This has traditionally only been used in a minor capacity as a gesture of goodwill to the people of the country. In previous years presidents would typically use this as an opportunity to pardon traffic offenders or other minor offenders who were in no way actually posing a danger to the society. However, president Sarkozy appears to have discontinued this practice.
The Bastille was stormed by the french people both for its tactical significance and as a gesture to what the fortress symbolized. They needed the gunpowder and ammunition contained within the fortress, but in addition they wanted to free political prisoners, many of whom had been their allies before they had been imprisoned in the fortress. Prisoners held in the Bastille were often arrested based on the Royal word alone, with no formal charges or appeal process in place, just one of the many injustices of the monarchy that the people of France were beginning to rebel against.
Although the Fete de la Federation was the official beginning of the holiday Bastille Day, the modern day celebration has much more modern origins, starting in 1878 with some unofficial parties which were honoring the republic government. It was in 1880 that Benjamin Raspail actually put forward a law which the assembly then passed in order the make the 14th of July the national Holiday of France, and has been celebrated ever since, both in France and in other countries with a strong french population.

This new creation has all come about because of the recession, the travel agents need to get some higher conversion rates, and this technique appears to be working. Travel agents have been using some exotic smells in their offices to help remind customers of what they are missing out on. All that these aromas are supposed to do, is just remind us of a previous holiday.
Encouraging people to book holidays can be a quite a task unless they have already made up their minds. But these new aromas in the office, although subtle may be enough to push someone over the line and into a holiday deal. Some of these aromas that are being used include; orange groves for a Mediterranean feel freshly mown grass for golfers and a Pina Colada’s for romantic breaks. Barbados holidays have benefited from all kinds of sales techniques; they seem to be one of the most popular holidays this year.
Thompson has claimed that Coconut is the best choice and used frequently throughout their shops. The smell reminds people of the Caribbean mainly because of the sun lotion that it reminds them of. First Choice have been a little more innovative with there smell, using that of ice cream to entice families on holiday. Caribbean holidays sales recently have been doing very well.
However it has not been the Travel Agent who has first come up with this idea to play with our noses to increase sales. Travelodge used smells to keep memories of the place stored in people’s minds. They used the smell of freshly cut grass and apple pies to keep people memorable.
So how does this actually help them to boost sales? Well it is relatively clear; some smells can quickly call on the memory to remind us of times we have had in the past. Although these smells are noticeable it isn’t a conscious realisation that we are remembering this smell from somewhere else. You will experience something that causes a subconscious memory to re-appear and remind you of a specific holiday. So try St Lucia holidays for that relaxing experience, and a relaxing new aroma!

Women have a lot to worry about when they are pregnant. Unfortunately, studies show that they now have another worry: the likely link between low birth weight babies and gum disease. This problem is distressingly more prevalent than a lot of expecting mothers may even realize. For your health and the health of your unborn child, you need to familiarize yourself with gum disease, its risks, and how to prevent them.
In the United States alone, as many as 10 percent of all babies are born prematurely. Naturally, premature babies have a lower success rate. It is more difficult for these babies to thrive and survive. Their development could be at risk as well. Out of all the infant deaths in this nation, almost sixty percent of them are due to the babies being premature with low birth weight.
The use of oral irrigators might help to improve dental health, especially the health of the gum tissue. Certain brands may be better than others in this regard.
Such high numbers of afflicted mothers and bablies demanded research. Tons of studies are still being done. Some of the results already stumbled upon an astonishing, downright chilling fact. There is a surprisingly strong link between mothers who have gum disease during their pregnancy. The study done suggests that these mothers were an astounding 7 times more apt to give birth to babies with low weights at birth.
A special mouthwash referred to as therabreath contains oxygenated compounds that may also be helpful in fighting or preventing gum disease. This mouthwash is also pH balanced, possibly providing further protection to your periodontal health. In any case you should make an attempt to end gum disease and prevent it from coming back again.
Thus, a little more than eighteen percent of all babies born prematurely can be attributed to maternal gum disease. If the results are correct, that means that gum diseases causes low birth weight more than smoking or drinking during pregnancy.
A primary reason for these disturbing findings is due to the fact that, in general, if a mother has an infection during her pregnancy, her baby is more at risk for being born prematurely. This all begs the question, how can expectant mothers stop this from happening?
For starters, you have to visit your dentist regularly. You especially need to go if you experience any of the telltale signs of gum diseases, such as bleeding, sore, or red gums.
Disclaimer: If you have or think you might have gum disease or any other health problem, please visit your doctor or periodontist for advice, diagnosis and treatment.
